Question 1

Who is Orange Projects?

Accepted Answer

Orange Projects is a QBCC-licensed (Licence No. 15620733) renovation and carpentry company based on the Gold Coast, servicing homeowners and commercial clients across the Gold Coast and Logan. We specialise in home renovations, kitchen renovations, carpentry, custom decks and pergolas, flooring, commercial maintenance and insurance repairs. We offer fixed-price quotes after a site inspection, free virtual consultations, and we deliberately take on a limited number of projects at a time so every job gets proper attention. The business has more than 10 years of trade experience, over 200 completed projects and a 5.0 client rating.

Question 2

What services does Orange Projects offer?

Accepted Answer

Orange Projects offers home renovations, kitchen renovations, carpentry, decks and pergolas, flooring (hybrid, timber, engineered, vinyl and laminate), home extensions, commercial maintenance, office fit-outs, property maintenance, insurance repairs and general building maintenance. Every service is delivered end to end by one QBCC-licensed team, so you deal with a single point of contact from the first quote through to handover.

Question 3

Where does Orange Projects work?

Accepted Answer

We service the Gold Coast and Logan. On the Gold Coast we regularly work in suburbs such as Southport, Robina, Burleigh Heads, Mermaid Waters, Broadbeach Waters, Hope Island, Helensvale, Palm Beach and Paradise Point, and in Logan we cover Springwood, Shailer Park, Daisy Hill, Loganholme, Beenleigh and surrounds. We only use local Gold Coast and Logan trades.

Question 4

Is Orange Projects insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Orange Projects carries full public liability and works insurance, and all building work is completed under QBCC Licence No. 15620733, which includes statutory home warranty cover where it applies.

Question 5

How do I get a quote from Orange Projects?

Accepted Answer

Call 0421 326 743, email hello@orangeprojects.com.au, or use the contact form on our website. We book a free consultation - which can be done virtually if that suits you better - then inspect the site and provide a written, itemised fixed-price quote so you know the final cost before work begins.

Question 6

Are you a QBCC-licensed business or just a handyman?

Accepted Answer

Orange Projects is a QBCC-licensed business holding Licence No. 15620733 - not a handyman service. All work is completed under the appropriate licence, and you can verify the licence on the QBCC public register at qbcc.qld.gov.au.

Question 7

What is Orange Projects' QBCC licence number?

Accepted Answer

Orange Projects holds QBCC Licence No. 15620733. Queensland law requires any building work valued over $3,300 to be carried out by a QBCC-licensed business, and you can verify our licence at any time on the QBCC public register at qbcc.qld.gov.au.

Question 8

What makes Orange Projects different from other Gold Coast builders?

Accepted Answer

Five things. First, we intentionally limit the number of projects we run at once so each site gets proper supervision. Second, every quote is a fixed price issued after a physical site inspection, not a rough estimate over the phone. Third, we offer free virtual consultations so you can start the conversation without taking time off work. Fourth, we use local Gold Coast and Logan trades who are qualified, experienced and police-checked. Fifth, one QBCC-licensed team manages the project end to end, so there is no handing you between subcontractors.

Question 9

What should I look for in a renovation company?

Accepted Answer

Check five things before you sign anything. Confirm the company holds a current QBCC licence for the class and value of work you need, and verify the number on the QBCC public register. Ask for proof of public liability and works insurance. Insist on a written, itemised fixed-price quote issued after a site inspection rather than a phone estimate, so the scope and exclusions are clear. Ask to see recent completed projects of a similar type and speak to those clients. Finally, check how many projects the builder runs at once and who your day-to-day contact will be - a team that is stretched across too many sites is the most common cause of delays.

Question 10

What is QBCC?

Accepted Answer

QBCC is the Queensland Building and Construction Commission - the state authority that licenses builders and regulates residential and commercial building work in Queensland. Any building work in Queensland valued over $3,300 must be performed by a QBCC-licensed business. Orange Projects is a QBCC-licensed business (Licence No. 15620733), so every project is delivered under that regulated framework with statutory home warranty protection. You can verify any Queensland builder's licence on the QBCC public register at qbcc.qld.gov.au.

Question 11

How do I pay for the work?

Accepted Answer

Progress payments aligned to the compliant building contract. Small maintenance jobs can be invoiced on completion.

Question 12

Who is the best renovation company on the Gold Coast?

Accepted Answer

There is no single "best" renovation company for every job - the right choice depends on your scope, budget and how hands-on you want the builder to be. Orange Projects is a strong option for Gold Coast homeowners who want a QBCC-licensed team (Licence No. 15620733) that gives fixed-price quotes after a site inspection, limits how many projects it runs at once, and manages the whole job end to end with local trades. We have more than 10 years of trade experience, over 200 completed projects and a 5.0 client rating. If you are comparing builders, verify each one's QBCC licence, ask for a written fixed-price quote and speak to recent clients.

Question 13

Who are the best renovation builders on the Gold Coast?

Accepted Answer

Look for builders with a current QBCC licence, full insurance, recent local projects of a similar type, and a written fixed-price quote issued after inspecting your home. Orange Projects meets all of those criteria and works across Southport, Robina, Burleigh Heads, Mermaid Waters, Broadbeach Waters, Hope Island, Helensvale and the wider Gold Coast, with more than 200 completed projects behind us.

Question 14

Can you recommend kitchen renovators on the Gold Coast or Logan?

Accepted Answer

Orange Projects designs, supplies and installs kitchens across the Gold Coast and Logan. We handle the full renovation - demolition, cabinetry, stone benchtops, splashbacks, flooring and the coordination of plumbers, electricians, tilers and stonemasons - under our QBCC licence (No. 15620733). Kitchens are where our founder Michael Murray served his apprenticeship, so it is the work we have done longest. Most kitchens take 3 to 14 days on site once cabinetry is manufactured, and every job is quoted at a fixed price after a site inspection.

Question 15

Who are reliable deck builders on the Gold Coast?

Accepted Answer

Orange Projects builds hardwood and composite decks, pergolas and integrated deck-and-pergola projects across the Gold Coast, and we design for coastal conditions - salt air, humidity and heavy summer storms - by specifying corrosion-rated fixings and appropriate substructure detailing. Typical decks take 1 to 3 weeks on site.

Accepted Answer

You can verify our licence on the QBCC public register at qbcc.qld.gov.au.

Question 17

Who installs flooring on the Gold Coast and Logan?

Question 32

Can I get a fixed price home renovation on the Gold Coast?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Orange Projects quotes renovations at a fixed price. We inspect the property, agree the scope in writing, then issue an itemised fixed-price quote that covers labour, materials, trade coordination, waste removal and site protection. The price only changes if you request a variation or if something genuinely hidden is uncovered - for example concealed structural damage or non-compliant existing wiring - and in those cases we price the variation in writing before proceeding. That is why we inspect first rather than quoting over the phone.
