Carpenter Jobs & Ongoing Carpentry Work in Labrador
Orange Projects is continually looking to connect with carpenters based around Labrador and the Broadwater suburbs. We keep a list of trusted people and work through it as jobs are booked.
Orange Projects is a QBCC licensed renovation, carpentry and property maintenance company based on the Gold Coast. Licence No. 15620733.
The work that comes up in Labrador
Labrador has one of the largest concentrations of older housing and walk-up unit blocks on the northern Gold Coast, alongside newer infill development near the Broadwater. It generates a high volume of repair and maintenance work rather than large renovation projects.
- Repair carpentry in older homes: door frames, jambs, damaged trims, timber windows and stairs.
- Unit block repairs where the original construction is dated and rarely matches modern sizes.
- Small renovation packages, usually a room or two at a time rather than whole house projects.
- Deck and external timber replacement close to the water.
Travel and your patch
Labrador connects directly with Southport, Runaway Bay, Biggera Waters and Arundel, so the driving between jobs is minimal.
What we look for from people in Labrador
Carpenters who are good at repair work, can match existing profiles and are not thrown by a job that changes once the lining comes off.

Common questions
Do you have carpentry work in Labrador right now?
We do not advertise vacancies we do not have. Orange Projects keeps an ongoing register of carpenters by area, and Labrador is a suburb we work in regularly. Registering puts you on the list we call from when work is confirmed.
Do I have to live in Labrador?
No. We dispatch by area rather than by address, so what matters is the patch you are happy to cover. Tell us your suburbs when you register and we will keep you close to home where we can.
Employment or subcontract?
Both are available. Employees and casuals work to hours and a run sheet we set. Subcontractors need an ABN and current public liability insurance, and work to an agreed scope or rate.
What do I need before I can start?
A white card, reliable transport and your own tools as a minimum, plus any licence required for the work you carry out in your own right. Subcontractors also need an ABN and insurance certificates on file.
