Carpenter Jobs & Carpentry Work on the Gold Coast
Orange Projects is continually looking to connect with reliable carpenters across the Gold Coast. We are not listing a specific vacancy on this page. We keep a working register of carpenters, and when a project is confirmed we start at the top of that list.
Our carpentry work is mostly renovation, alteration and finishing rather than volume new build. That means the person on the tools is usually dealing directly with a homeowner, a property manager or a building manager, and the finish is inspected closely.
Orange Projects is a QBCC licensed renovation, carpentry and property maintenance company based on the Gold Coast. Licence No. 15620733.
The kind of carpentry work we take on
- Home renovation carpentry: internal alterations, new openings, door sets, skirting, architraves and built-in storage.
- Decking, pergolas and outdoor timber structures, including composite decking.
- Flooring: subfloor preparation, hybrid and timber floor installation.
- Feature carpentry such as media walls, batten screens and panelling.
- Commercial carpentry, fit-out and make-good work for offices, retail and medical tenancies.
- Repair carpentry through our property maintenance division.
What we look for in a carpenter
Trade skill is the starting point, not the whole picture. The carpenters who get the most work from us are the ones customers are happy to have back.
- A trade qualification or genuine equivalent experience in carpentry.
- Your own hand tools and power tools, and reliable transport.
- A white card, and any other tickets relevant to the work you do.
- The ability to read a plan, set out accurately and finish neatly.
- Clear communication: telling us early when something changes on site.
- Respect for an occupied home. Dust control, clean-up and courtesy are part of the job.
Employment or subcontract
We work with both. Some people want steady hours as an employee or casual, others run their own ABN and prefer to subcontract. Tell us which suits you when you register and we will keep you on the right list. If you are a subcontractor, see our carpentry subcontractor page for the paperwork we need before you start.
Where we work
Our carpentry work runs across the Gold Coast from Coolangatta to Pimpama, with regular projects in Brisbane and Logan. Below are the Gold Coast areas we most often need carpenters in. If your suburb is not listed, register anyway and tell us the areas you are happy to travel to.

Common questions
Do you have a carpenter position open right now?
Not necessarily. We do not advertise vacancies that do not exist. We keep an ongoing register of carpenters and contact people from it when projects are confirmed, which happens regularly through the year.
Do I need a QBCC licence to work with Orange Projects?
Not if you are working as an employee or under our licence as part of our team. If you are subcontracting and the work you are carrying out requires a licence in its own right, you will need the appropriate QBCC licence. Tell us what you hold when you register.
Do I need my own tools and vehicle?
For subcontract work, yes. For employment or casual work, having your own hand tools and reliable transport makes it far easier for us to put you on.
How long does it take to hear back?
We review every registration. If your experience matches the type of work we have coming up, you will usually get a call or a text. If we do not have anything suitable straight away, we keep your details on file rather than deleting them.
