Handyman Jobs & Handyman Work on the Gold Coast
Orange Projects is continually looking to connect with capable handymen across the Gold Coast. We are not advertising a specific vacancy here. We keep a register and call people when the work suits them.
Handyman work with us is not odd jobs off a classifieds site. It is scheduled property maintenance work for agencies, landlords and commercial clients, where each visit has a defined scope and a record kept against the property.
Orange Projects is a QBCC licensed renovation, carpentry and property maintenance company based on the Gold Coast. Licence No. 15620733.

What makes a good handyman on our team
The best handymen we work with are problem solvers. They arrive with a stocked vehicle, work out what is actually wrong, and finish the job on the first visit.
- A well stocked vehicle with common fixings and consumables.
- Photos and short notes on every job, so we can report back to the client.
- Comfort dealing with tenants and owners face to face.
- Honesty about what is beyond a handyman scope and needs a licensed trade.
Handyman work with real structure
Jobs are dispatched with the address, contact, access notes and scope. You are not chasing customers for payment or quoting your own work unless you choose to subcontract that way. That structure is why a lot of experienced handymen prefer working through us.
Where handyman work comes up
Handyman work is highest where rental density is highest. Labrador, Southport, Robina, Varsity Lakes, Coomera and Palm Beach are consistently busy. Our maintenance suburb pages set out what comes up in each area.
Maintenance work by Gold Coast suburb
Each area page covers the type of work that comes up locally and what we look for from people based there.
Common questions
Do you have a handyman vacancy right now?
We do not claim a current vacancy unless one exists. We do keep an ongoing register, and handyman work is one of the most consistent parts of our maintenance division.
Do I need a licence to do handyman work?
In Queensland, unlicensed building work is limited by value and by type. We keep handyman scopes within what is legally allowed and pass licensed work to licensed trades. If you hold a QBCC licence, tell us.
Do I need my own tools and vehicle?
Yes. A reliable vehicle and your own tools are essential for handyman work with us.
Can I do handyman work part time?
Sometimes. Tell us your availability when you register and we will be honest about whether it fits the work we have.
