Can you match the skirting in the rest of my house?

Usually yes. We check the existing profile, height and detail and find the closest current match, and where the original is no longer available we can have a run machined so a patched or extended area does not look out of place.

Do you install architraves as well?

Yes. Architraves, door surrounds, window reveals and skirting are all finishing carpentry and are normally done together so the profiles, heights and margins line up.

Will you fill and caulk before painting?

Yes. Nail holes are punched and filled, joins sanded flush and the top edge caulked to the wall. That preparation is what stops the dark shadow line along the top of freshly painted skirting.

Can you replace just a damaged section?

Often yes, particularly where the run has a natural break at a corner or door. If the damage is spread through a room, replacing the whole room usually gives a better result than patching several short sections.
