Frequently asked questions
How much does a deck cost per square metre in South East Queensland?
Hardwood decks typically start from $450-$650 per square metre supplied and installed, with composite decking $650-$900 per square metre. Cost varies with height, structure, access and finishes.
Do I need council approval for a deck?
Low-set decks under a certain size may be exempt, but most decks require building approval and certification. We handle the process for you.
How long does a deck take to build?
A typical deck takes 1-3 weeks on site once materials are on hand. Larger structures with roofs can take 3-6 weeks.
Timber or composite - which is better?
Hardwood decking looks natural and can be re-oiled, but needs maintenance. Composite decking costs more up front but is virtually maintenance-free and highly durable. We help you decide based on site and lifestyle.
Do you build decks and pergolas together?
Yes - integrated deck and pergola builds are one of our most popular projects.
