Composite Decking Cost on the Gold Coast (2026)

Composite pool deck on the Gold Coast

Composite decking costs more than timber up front, but it skips the oiling. Here's how the price works for a Gold Coast deck.

Short answer

Composite decking on the Gold Coast costs $360 to $675 per m² supplied and installed in 2026. A simple ground-level 20 m² deck sits around $7,200 to $13,500. Elevated decks, stairs, balustrades and tricky access push it toward the top of the range.

What moves the price

  • Height. A raised deck needs more posts, bracing and usually a balustrade.
  • Board range. Entry ranges cost less than premium colours and wider boards.
  • Frame. Timber or aluminium subframe, and how many footings the site needs.
  • Access. Narrow side paths and sloping blocks add labour.
  • Removing an old deck first.

Install only

If you've already bought boards, we can quote install only as long as the boards suit the job. We use Ekodeck and Ezy Decking for supply and install. See Ekodeck vs Ezy Decking.

Composite or timber?

Hardwood decks run $315 to $630 per m². Timber is cheaper on day one but needs oiling every year or so in full sun. Our decking cost guide compares both over time, and the composite decking page covers how we build them.
