We handle removal and disposal, footings, posts, bearers, joists, stairs, fascia and balustrades, so one team is responsible for the whole deck.
Hardwoods such as Merbau, Spotted Gum and Blackbutt, or composite boards from Ekodeck and Ezy Decking. Supply and install, or install only if you are supplying the boards.
On replacement jobs we check the existing structure before quoting. Framing is only reused when its condition and size suit the new deck.
You get an itemised, fixed price in writing after we measure, with stairs, balustrades and any engineering listed separately.

Stairs over a certain height need a handrail and balustrade. We fit rails at a height you can actually grip, and keep balustrade gaps tight enough to meet the rules for children.
Treads and grip
Tread material should match the deck where possible. Grooved or textured composite treads help in wet weather, and a contrasting nosing makes each step easier to see at night. Step lights set into the stringers are a small extra that make a big difference.

As a general guide, timber decking runs roughly $350 to $550 per m² and composite $450 to $700 per m² supplied and installed, depending on height, access, framing and finishes. Stairs are priced by the number of steps, landings and rails. Install only is also available.
