Before the build

1. Site visit and measure, then a written fixed quote.
2. Design tweaks and sign off.
3. Approval and engineering if the deck needs it, which can add a few weeks.
4. Ordering boards and hardware. Some composite colours and hardwood sizes need lead time.

On site

A simple, low deck can often be framed and boarded within a week. Larger decks, decks with stairs and balustrades or decks on a slope take longer. Concrete footings need time to cure before load goes on them.

What slows things down

• Heavy rain, which stops footing work and makes timber hard to handle.
• Rock or services found when digging.
• Changes to the design after ordering.
• Waiting on approvals.

Prices
