We handle removal and disposal, footings, posts, bearers, joists, stairs, fascia and balustrades, so one team is responsible for the whole deck.
Hardwoods such as Merbau, Spotted Gum and Blackbutt, or composite boards from Ekodeck and Ezy Decking. Supply and install, or install only if you are supplying the boards.
On replacement jobs we check the existing structure before quoting. Framing is only reused when its condition and size suit the new deck.
You get an itemised, fixed price in writing after we measure, with stairs, balustrades and any engineering listed separately.

Trees
Digging footings near a tree can cut major roots. We keep footings away from the main root zone where possible and use bridging bearers to span over roots. Where a deck wraps a trunk, we leave a generous gap so the tree can grow and sway. Some trees are protected, so check before any removal.
Rock
Rock close to the surface can stop a normal footing hole. Options include drilling and pinning to the rock, adjusting post positions or using the rock as a feature. We often find out how deep rock sits by probing at the site visit.
Uneven ground
- Posts of different lengths keep the deck level on a slope.
- Bracing stops tall posts from swaying.
- Screw piles can suit difficult ground.
- Steps can follow the land down to a lower area.
Fire and bushland

As a general guide, timber decking runs roughly $350 to $550 per m² and composite $450 to $700 per m² supplied and installed, depending on height, access, framing and finishes. Difficult footings are priced after a site look. Install only is also available. See deck builders.
