Orange Projects holds QBCC Licence No. 15620733 and is fully insured for residential and commercial decking work.
We handle removal and disposal, footings, posts, bearers, joists, stairs, fascia and balustrades, so one team is responsible for the whole deck.
Hardwoods such as Merbau, Spotted Gum and Blackbutt, or composite boards from Ekodeck and Ezy Decking. Supply and install, or install only if you are supplying the boards.
On replacement jobs we check the existing structure before quoting. Framing is only reused when its condition and size suit the new deck.
You get an itemised, fixed price in writing after we measure, with stairs, balustrades and any engineering listed separately.

Residential and commercial decking around Oxenford

Hardwood
Hardwood left bare turns silver grey. Some people like that, and the timber is still sound. To keep the colour, most decks need a penetrating oil every 6 to 12 months in full sun, less often under a roof. Clean first, let it dry, then oil in mild weather so it soaks in rather than flashing off.
Treated pine
Pine benefits from a coating soon after it settles, then regular recoats. Uncoated pine checks and splits more quickly in the sun.
Composite
Composite boards from Ekodeck and Ezy Decking don't need oiling. A wash with warm soapy water and a soft brush now and then keeps them clean. Avoid harsh solvents and follow the maker's guide on cleaning products.

As a general guide, timber decking runs roughly $350 to $550 per m² and composite $450 to $700 per m² supplied and installed, depending on height, access, framing and finishes. Install only is also available.
