We handle removal and disposal, footings, posts, bearers, joists, stairs, fascia and balustrades, so one team is responsible for the whole deck.
Hardwoods such as Merbau, Spotted Gum and Blackbutt, or composite boards from Ekodeck and Ezy Decking. Supply and install, or install only if you are supplying the boards.
On replacement jobs we check the existing structure before quoting. Framing is only reused when its condition and size suit the new deck.
You get an itemised, fixed price in writing after we measure, with stairs, balustrades and any engineering listed separately.
We build and replace decks for homeowners, landlords, property managers, body corporates and commercial premises such as offices, retail and hospitality spaces.
Tell us what you have in mind. Photos and a rough size help us tell you whether a site visit is the next step.
We measure up, check levels, access and any existing structure, and talk through timber or composite options.
You receive a fixed, itemised quote. If engineering, certification or approval may be needed, we say so up front.

A final walk-through, clean-up and care advice for the boards you chose.
Alongside home decks, we take on decking for managed and commercial properties: outdoor customer areas for cafes and retail, office break-out decks, body corporate common areas, and replacement decks on investment properties for landlords and property managers. Commercial work can be timber or composite, and is scoped and quoted the same way: measure, assess what is there, then a fixed written price.
On a family deck, the boards get scratched by dog claws and chair legs, dented by dropped objects and marked by drinks, sunscreen and barbecue fat. Kids run on it barefoot, which makes splinters a real concern. The steps get climbed all day. So the best board for a busy family is not always the prettiest one.
Treated pine is the most likely to splinter, especially once it dries out. Hardwood is much better but can still lift fibres at the edges if it is not oiled. Composite does not splinter at all, which is the main reason families choose it.
Hardwood scratches, but the marks blend in as the boards weather, and heavy marks can be sanded out later by a floor or deck specialist. Capped composite has a hard outer shell that resists most scratches from dogs and furniture, but deep gouges cannot be sanded. Choosing a composite with an embossed grain and a mid tone hides marks best. Very dark or very light boards show scratches more.
Steps should have the same height on every rise and a deep tread. We add a contrasting nosing or step light if the steps are used at night. Where the deck is high enough to need a balustrade, it must have no climbable rails and no gaps a child could slip through.
Composite washes with warm soapy water. Hardwood needs a clean and oil about once a year to stay smooth. Either way, a hose tap within reach of the deck makes life easier, and we can suggest where one should go.
We supply composite from Ekodeck and Ezy Decking, hardwood or treated pine, or install boards you buy. As a general guide, timber decking runs roughly $350 to $550 per m² and composite $450 to $700 per m² supplied and installed, depending on height, access, framing and finishes. See composite decking for more on board types.
Tell us how the deck will be used and who will use it. We will recommend a board and quote in writing. QBCC Licence No. 15620733.
